Research
Nic's research is centred on increasing the voices of autistic individuals and enhancing autism care pathways.
She has contributed to several significant research projects, including the Autism Care Pathways from 2017 to 2023. Since 2023, Nic has been involved in the Newcastle University ‘Autistic Voice’ project, which collects and shares the experiences of autistic children. This research provides essential insights into their needs for safety, acceptance, and understanding across various contexts, advocating for a transition towards more inclusive and supportive environments for autistic individuals.
